Training Leaders International

In July, we hosted one of Dave's long-time friends, Darren Carlson, along with a team from Training Leaders International. It was a great time interacting with the team of pastors and teachers and we were able to coordinate several mission activities including workshops for local church leaders as well as seminars for pastors serving in three different informal settlements around Nairobi. Here's a few photos from the trip:

A helping hand !

The past three months has been full of activities. On May17th , Church Army hosted a team of eight college students from falls church, USA.The interns took the responsibility of interacting with them, taking them for a tour around town,  making them feel at home and more to that, sharing the word of God and His unconditional love towards His children .During their stay, we toured one of the local slums and offered door to door evangelisation, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and His mission on earth, which was to seek and save the lost. We  also helped the team to co-ordinate and set a medical camp which was held at Light and Power Center,Gatina.
On 17th to 26th of July Church Army Africa welcomed another team which was known as TRAINING LEADERS INTERNATIONAL.The team helped equip the Lay readers with practical skills for study, exposition, and preaching of the bible for three days .We grouped ourselves according to one's own interests, some helped out in the kitchen, while some were at the registration desk helping out in registering those who attended the seminar, some led  praise and worship in the morning  before the bible studies. We are also planning to go camping  for three days thereafter go for a picnic at Ngong hills as we  wind up our stay as interns at Church Army.Unforgettable month!
